This ring is inspired by the Banshee, the mythical creature of Irish and Scottish folklore. The banshee is believed to herald death by emitting ear-piercing screams or wails that announce the passing of a family member. She can present herself as a beautiful woman or an old crone, but most know her to appear as an otherworldly creature or fairy, dressed in rags with long, flowing hair. Some stories believe her to be a vengeful spirit, while others believe her to be a sorrowful spirit, accepting her fate as the harbinger of death. While her presence is feared by most as an omen, she is a messenger of the inevitable and a symbol of life's impermanence and cyclical nature.Ā
